Constituents tell David Cameron: Act on Climate Change
14 March 2014
Next week, Cameron will be at an EU climate summit in Brussels, negotiating an EU climate deal
that will shape Europe's carbon emissions and renewable energy development until 2030. That's a big deal but, if the targets are strong enough they could also unlock global ambition.
So 30 local supporters of Greenpeace, Oxfam, CAFOD and 38 Degrees packed out a bookshop in Witney to launch an open letter to their MP David Cameron. The letter has already been signed by almost 400 constituents and calls on their MP to demonstrate strong leadership at the EU summit next week by demanding more ambitious climate and energy targets.
