Challenge to Change

Challenge to Change (CtC) is an international NGO, established in the UK in 2008, working primarily in Vietnam. Since its inception the organisation has focused on climate change issues, supporting poor communities to adapt their livelihoods to the local impacts of changing climate in Vietnam, whilst at the same time persuading those who contribute most to climate change, especially in the UK, to take responsibility for reducing global carbon emissions.
SPOKES East Kent Cycle Campaign

SPOKES South Kent Cycling Campaign

An active campaign group set up to encourage cycling and publicise its benefits. We are based in the East Kent area of the UK but have an interest in better conditions for cyclists everywhere. We publish a free quarterly newsletter in which we air our views and the views of others on cycling issues and ensure its widest possible distribution. We also organise a full programme of rides and cycling events in and around Kent to be enjoyed by ordinary people.
SFTUK

Students for a Free Tibet

Students for a Free Tibet (SFT) works in solidarity with the Tibetan people in their struggle for freedom and independence. We are a chapter-based network of young people and activists around the world. Through education, grassroots organizing, and non-violent direct action, we campaign for Tibetans’ fundamental right to political freedom. Our role is to empower and train youth as leaders in the worldwide movement for social justice.
SumatranOrangutanSoc

Sumatran Orangutan Society

SOS works to protect orangutans, their forests and their future. We support frontline conservation programmes and campaign on issues threatening the survival of orangutans in the wild. Our projects include rainforest restoration and developing community conservation initiatives which support the protection of the Leuser forests, empowering local people to become guardians of this precious ecosystem.
Surfers Against Sewage

Surfers Against Sewage

Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) is an environmental charity protecting the UK’s oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy safely and sustainably, via community action, campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research. SAS projects target environmental issues affecting beaches including marine litter, sewage pollution, climate change, toxic chemicals, shipping and coastal development. SAS has over 50,000 active supporters across the UK.

We're a leading UK charity enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport for more of the journeys we make every day. We work with families, communities, policy-makers and partner organisations so that people are able to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in.

TGWS

Take Global Warming Seriously

Poole Agenda Twenty One (PA21) aims to encourage and develop a local sustainable community in Poole. We are a local group, formed of local people, working within a national framework for delivering sustainable development in the UK. We work with the Borough of Poole, and other organisations, and are committed to protecting and improving our local environment. We aim to increase local environmental awareness, encourage the use of renewable resources, and to promote the development of environmentally friendly homes, leisure facilities and businesses for all Poole residents and visitors.
Tearfund

Tearfund

Tearfund has a big vision which we've been bringing into being since 1968. We know there's God-given-potential in poor communities. We work with local churches to unlock this potential. With your help, we've seen millions escape extreme poverty - permanently.

The Safe Alliance

The Safe Alliance (The Safety in Fossil Fuel Exploitation Alliance) has come about because there is substantial evidence that indicates that the ‘dash for gas’ (in the UK and globally) is unsafe and irresponsible, both for this generation and future generations. The Alliance was formed in December 2013 and aims to provide access to information and resources, including helping to connect different local groups, and helping access legal advice. We are also creating a ‘fighting fund’ to fund proactive legal work to help prepare local groups in advance and to help fund specific legal actions.
