The NFWI is the largest women’s organisation in the UK with some 210,000 members in 6,500 Women’s Institutes across England, Wales and the Islands.

We are a charity for and of health professionals and others working to improve health worldwide. It conducts research and analysis. It campaigns and lobbies. It educates and informs. It is independent of powerful interest groups. It sees health through the lens of social justice.

We are London based however we work closely with volunteers and partners from South America to Eastern Europe, in areas that we believe have the best potential for eco-tourism.

North East Call to Action on Poverty

North East CALL TO ACTION (‘NE-CAP’) is one of the country’s leading regional coalitions campaigning on global poverty and climate change. We have representatives in most North East constituencies and hope to soon secure complete coverage. All our officers are NGO staff or voluntary representatives and we seek to mobilise and coordinate support for their campaigning. We arranged coaches from every city, town and village in the NE (well, almost!) to London for The Wave in 2009.

One World UK

One World UK

The OneClimate team focuses on supporting the climate movement, as an essential component of the work of the OneWorld Group. We are focusing our role more sharply now on pioneering media tools to support the climate movement. And that's what OneClimate is. We are innovating new tools and platforms that make it easier for us all to share information, actions and experiences with one another, to help us hang in there and keep moving forward.

One World Week

One World Week offers opportunities for people and organisations to come together at local events to explore how they can work together to build a more just, peaceful and sustainable world. OWW, working with partner organisations, mobilises local volunteers to organise events where people of diverse backgrounds can: acknowledge our interdependence; raise awareness of global inequalities and injustice and inspire action to increase equality, justice and sustainability, locally and globally. One World Week is around United Nations Day (24 October) but activity can take place at any time. OWW’s website offers opportunities to participate in SCC members’ campaigns.
Operation Noah

Operation Noah

Operation Noah is an ecumenical Christian charity providing leadership, focus and inspiration in response to the growing threat of catastrophic climate change. Our current campaign Bright Now: towards fossil free Churches calls on the Churches and Christian community in the UK to disinvest from companies involved in the extraction of fossil fuels. We also work collaboratively with other Christian and faith groups active on climate change and provide resources and support to equip churches to respond to climate change.
