SEAD

SEAD aims to challenge the causes of poverty, social injustice and environmental degradation; and to support the community-based movement for positive social change. We believe that dynamic communities have the power to make positive changes in our society. SEAD’s projects support people to become part of this change. We work with communities in Scotland and in the developing world to exchange ideas, knowledge and inspiration. We provide tools and support to turn this into action.
IFEES

Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences

The Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences (IFEES) is a UK registered charity operating internationally, through programmes designed to increase knowledge and awareness, alleviate poverty, combat climate change and deal with other major environmental issues. It collaborates with government bodies, local authorities, NGOs, scholarly and academic institutions, to develop an Islamic science of natural resources management, implement sustainable projects, produce training material and conduct training in key locations.
Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief

Islamic Relief is an international aid and development charity, which aims to alleviate the suffering of the world's poorest people. Inspired by our Islamic faith and guided by our values, we envisage a caring world where communities are empowered, social obligations are fulfilled and people respond as one to the suffering of others. Exemplifying our Islamic values, we mobilise resources, build partnerships, and develop local capacity regardless of race, political affiliation, gender or belief, and without expecting anything in return.
JRI

John Ray Initiative

The John Ray Initiative (JRI) is an educational charity with a vision to bring together scientific and Christian understandings of the environment in a way that can be widely communicated and lead to effective action. It was formed in 1997 in recognition of the urgent need to respond to the global environmental crisis and the challenges of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
jandpeace

Justice and Peace Scotland

The National Commission for Justice and Peace advises the Scottish Catholic Bishops' Conference in matters relating to social and ecological justice, international peace and human rights, and promotes action in these areas, both locally and nationally. Our current campaigns focus on Asylum and Refugees, Poverty in Scotland, Renewal of Trident, and Climate Change.

Keep it in the Ground

Keep it in the Ground was established following a public meeting in 2013 with Duncan Clark, co-author of The Burning Question, about leaving fossil fuels in the ground. We are campaigning to bring this about. We are working to raise awareness, by running events locally, writing letters, producing information and speaking to people not usually involved with climate issues. We are a community group, part of Transition Town Lewes.
Leeds TIDAL

Leeds TIDAL

Debt, trade, pollution, biodiversity, resource depletion, water scarcity, food security, poverty, climate change… The number of big issues just keeps on growing, threatening our children’s futures and the lives of the most vulnerable people on the planet. That’s why we’re here. Tidal works to support, coordinate and grow global activism in Leeds. We believe that strong, diverse and united grassroots movements are vital to sustainable change, and it’s our mission to help global justice activists in this city be as effective as they can possibly be.
Low Carbon Communities Network

Low Carbon Communities Network

The Low Carbon Communities Network links, networks and supports the rapidly growing movement of climate change groups that are forming at local and community level. We encourage the adoption of low carbon and zero carbon technologies and lifestyles at a community level, and to enable groups engaged in this to be as effective and efficient as possible. We make the most of the opportunities that the web presents in building communities and sharing information online.
MADE in Europe

MADE in Europe

MADE in Europe works to mobilise young Muslims to take action on global poverty issues such as climate change, maternal health and trade through campaigning, volunteering and education.

Medact is a London-based health charity designed to enable health professionals to act on the social, political, ecological and economic determinants of health and health inequality. We are a charity for and of health professionals and others working to improve health worldwide. It conducts research and analysis. It campaigns and lobbies. It educates and informs. It is independent of powerful interest groups. It sees health through the lens of social justice.

We have over 30 branches in universities across the UK, many nationally run activities and several national working groups alongside collaborating with numerous external partner organisations both nationally and internationally.
