The Spark

The Spark is a week packed with film, discussion, music and workshops from 10 - 15 June 2013.

It is a space for people to get together, share skills, train each other and strengthen movements for economic and social justice.

It aims to bring together people and groups that don't usually work together to see what we can learn from each other, and to build networks and relationships that will help bring more strength and unity to groups and individuals fighting for social justice.

At The Spark, we will be exploring the way that these governments and other elites have been imposing their economic agenda on countries around the world; we will be imagining alternative, fairer and more just systems; sharing strategies for creating the change we want to see; and make friends with each other along the way!

We'll also be looking at ways to bridge the artistic gap that can sometimes occur between creativity and activism through a number of interactive workshops across the week! Together we'll explore via radio, theatre, visual art, music, video and more how to nurture creativity in our fight for social, environmental and economic justice.

Each workshop can hold 20 - 30 people so you need to register for events in the day Monday - Friday. Evenings and Saturday just turn up.
