Fossil Free UK Tour

People & Planet has teamed up with 350.org to bring Bill McKibben, the US’ most famous environmentalist, and other exciting speakers to the UK to kickstart our Fossil Free UK campaign this autumn.

Dates for your diary

  • Edinburgh on Wednesday 30th October
  • Birmingham on Thursday 31st October
  • London on Friday 1st November to kickstart Shared Planet 2013.

What’s the tour about?

Bill McKibben’s Do The Maths show was a sell-out when he toured 20 US cities in 20 days last Autumn and then Australia and New Zealand this Spring. The inspiring 2-hour show lays bare the basic science and maths of climate change through a multi-media presentation and will leave you feeling informed and inspired to take action. Drawing inspiration from the anti-apartheid campaigns of the 1980s that brought together students, churches and other investors, this tour is all about kickstarting an exciting new fossil fuel divestment movement here in the UK.

While the list of tour participants is growing, we have early confirmation from the following: (note, not all will be live at each event)

Each show will include a 2-3 hour programme, including speakers, video playback, a musical guest (singer-songwriter or small band), and a Q&A session. We will also have extensive off-stage audience engagement.
