Join us on 30th October in Edinburgh!
Pedestrians and cyclists will gather outside the Scottish Government's offices at St Andrews House, Edinburgh at lunchtime on Wednesday 30th October to call on John Swinney MSP, the Scottish Minister in charge of the Budget, to double the funding available for cycling and walking.
Transport accounts for a quarter of Scotland’s climate change emissions. This needs to reduce urgently and decisively if Scotland is to play its fair part in tackling global climate change.
Join us at 1pm to send a clear message to the Scottish Government that a low carbon country needs a low carbon transport system...and We Want to See Double!
A week after we last descended upon St Andrews House (see photo above) calling for more funding for cycling and walking, the Scottish Government announced they would allocate an additional £13m to this. So these campaign efforts really do make a difference! Please come along if you can.
We'll be asking you to come along on foot or on bike, and public transport if appropriate. More details will be available nearer the time but, in the meantime, please help us spread the word.
You can also take our email action today to tell your MSPs that We Want to See Double.
